A mass casualty incident (MCI) is defined, as an incident that involves more casualties than a local medical response unit can handle effectively with immediately available resources. The general rule of thumb is an incident with 25 or more patients.

First responders need to be confident and correct in their actions and decisions. Hesitation can cost a great deal. Over-confidence in the absence of accurate knowledge can be just as dangerous.
Operational Consulting Group (OCG) has developed a valuable training and hands-on exercise program allowing emergency first responders to comprehensively learn, do, and master the strategic, tactical, and medical approaches to handling Mass Casualty Incidents (MCI).

As a result, emergency first responders will effectively put into practice the procedures that will make them successful in the event of a catastrophic MCI.

With over 90 years of combined experience it is our goal to remove the mystery of setting up a mass casualty incident and the ensuing chaos of coordinating a mass casualty incident.
